Holy Trinity Curriculum & Student Expectations
Holy Trinity School updates curriculum according to Diocesan guidelines and mandates. Texts are chosen to meet the educational needs of our students. Holy Trinity School believes each student can reach his/her potential with the guidance and support from teachers and parents. Our faculty members partner with families to create a solid foundation of skills that students will use at HTS and beyond. Our curriculum is grounded in the basics with the emphasis on phonics, reading comprehension, writing, spelling, penmanship, math concepts and math facts. Our students learn about our world through religion, science and history by making real life connections and discovery. We develop a learning environment where students learn by asking questions, making connections and discovering new knowledge. Most importantly, we believe our students learn how to become great citizens and followers of Jesus not only in the classrooms but also in the hallways, on the playing courts and beyond HTS.
Grading
The goal of the grading system and honor roll is to promote excellence in academic achievement and to recognize students in grades 3-8 who perform to a high level of competence in their school work. The grading system is as follows:

Homework
Holy Trinity School recognizes that meaningful, carefully planned homework can support student success and be a complementary part of a student’s overall learning. Developing good study habits is the responsibility of the school and the home. Research supports an average of 10 minutes of homework per grade as a good rule of thumb. (Example 2nd grader, 20 minutes). Home assignments reinforce work begun in school and foster habits of independent study.Weekend homework is not given as a general rule; however, it may be given on occasion for enrichment purposes, long-range research, and for the purpose of making up work missed through absence, tardiness, or poor effort. All assignments should be completed neatly and on time. It is our intention to assign homework that is meaningful, has been explained in class, and is tied to the curriculum. Please communicate with your child's teacher if homework becomes a "battleground" in your home.
Students should expect up to an average of 90 minutes of homework depending upon their grade:

Religious Ed
We envision our graduates as:
